Rudiments

Rudiments is a drum instrument built for hip hop and modern pop production, created by Native Instruments in collaboration with Snipe Young. It delivers crisp, punchy drums through curated kits that combine organic and synthesized sounds, all processed with the character of outboard gear. Each kit includes 16 editable hip hop patterns that you can drag and drop as MIDI into any DAW, making beat-making fast and flexible. You also get handpicked samples to layer into your own productions. Part of the Play Series, Rudiments offers hard-hitting presets and real-time control in an intuitive interface. It suits hobby producers working on trap, hip hop, pop, and beyond who want ready-to-use drums with a distinctive sonic stamp. Whether you’re sketching a quick beat or building a full arrangement, Rudiments provides a solid foundation for contemporary tracks.
