McDSP SA-2 Dialog Processor Native v7 brings focused dynamic tone control to speech, vocals, and other recorded tracks. Inspired by hardware conceived by re-recording mixer Mike Minkler, it uses five independent bands of active equalization to address problem frequencies as they cross adjustable thresholds. This lets you manage harshness, tame sibilance, and shape vocal timbre without relying solely on static EQ. Selectable processing modes adjust the bands’ response and frequency placement, while individual enable buttons help you hear each band’s contribution. Frequency Shift, Range, and Monitor controls provide additional ways to refine the processing, supported by signal reduction metering. With zero-latency algorithms, double-precision processing, and mono or stereo operation, SA-2 suits dialogue editors, podcast producers, and home-studio musicians looking for controlled, intelligible spoken or sung performances. This is the Native edition, rather than the AAX DSP version.
