Things is a software synthesizer designed for people who want to shape original sounds without deep synthesis knowledge. Instead of cryptic controls, it uses “Descriptors”—plain-language objects and ideas that explain what each knob does and the kind of tone it produces. Under the hood, it combines additive, subtractive and FM synthesis across 32 oscillators and 30 FX processors and filters, so the sound design can go well beyond simple presets. A built-in 4–32 step arpeggiator adds octave range switching, note shift, velocity and length automation, four direction modes, shuffle, and host or manual tempo sync.
