SAWmonium

SAWmonium is a Kontakt instrument library built from an unusual source: cello-bowed wood saws, mitre saws, and hacksaws. The result is 10 cinematic patches aimed at horror, quirky, and mysterious scoring. You get bowed sustains that loop and stay tunable—think gritty glass harmonica or melodic percussion—plus tonal staccatos, creepy growls, and a patch inspired by Zimmer’s Joker motif. The interface offers pitch, attack/delay, and EQ controls, with 13 custom impulse responses selectable on the GUI. It’s ideal for hobby producers crafting dark ambient, trailer music, or unsettling sound design in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic. Requires the full version of Kontakt—it won’t run in the free Player.
