SEQUND

SEQUND is a polyrhythmic MIDI sequencer plugin that generates evolving basslines, melodies and rhythmic patterns with remarkable ease. Built by 510k in collaboration with HY-Plugins, it expands on Alexkid’s popular Max4Live sequencers. You get separate Gate and Pitch lanes, each with independent step lengths, so rhythm and melody drift apart to create complex, musical polyrhythms even from just 16 steps. Two pitch lanes and a probability lane let you alternate between melodies, while chance, hold, transpose and octave controls add variation. Positive and negative swing, two step-advance modes, three assignable MIDI CC lanes and up to 12 patterns per preset with instant MIDI recall make it flexible for live performance and studio work. Scale quantisation keeps everything in key, and the intuitive interface encourages experimentation.
