Session Bassist – Icon Bass

Native Instruments Session Bassist – Icon Bass brings the punch and character of a legendary 1989 USA-made active-electronics bass straight into your DAW. This instrument pairs a meticulously sampled low end with over 200 playable patterns and phrases written and performed by top session players, covering rock, funk, and pop styles. You can trigger ready-made riffs and fills or edit and create your own basslines for full control. The active electronics deliver extra bite and clarity, making it ideal for rumbling rock grooves, fierce funk lines, and pop parts that need weight and presence. It suits hobby producers and songwriters who want realistic, performance-ready bass without hiring a player or wrestling with MIDI programming. Whether you’re building a track from scratch or adding low-end polish, Icon Bass gives you a solid foundation with authentic tone and feel.
