Monomodule is a free, open-source plugin that emulates the Elektron Monomachine (SFX-6/SFX-60) at the chip level. Instead of approximating the synth with new DSP, it runs the Monomachine’s original DSP program inside an emulated Motorola DSP56300, so every sound matches the hardware sample for sample. The suite includes Monomodule One, a single track that can load any of the 22 machines; Monomodule Six, a full six-track Monomachine with MIDI channels 1–6, track routing, multiple outputs, and kit loading; Monomodule FX, which brings the Monomachine’s effects (Reverb, Chorus, Dynamix, Ringmod, Phaser, Flanger) to any track; and Monomodule Library, a tool for importing and managing Monomachine sysex dumps with version history and drag-and-drop preview. A custom UI consolidates the hardware’s screens into one window for easier editing. It runs lightly on Apple Silicon, Intel, and AMD via JIT compilation.
