Sknote – Disto-S (Win/Mac Vst/Au/AAX 32/64 bit)

SKnote Disto-S is a compressor and saturation effect modeled on the Empirical Labs Distressor hardware. It gives home producers and mix engineers a way to shape dynamics and add coloration, with drums as a natural starting point and enough flexibility to handle other mix sources.

Several compression modes, including UK (British) mode, offer different responses, while knee compression provides another way to shape how the processing takes hold. The Hottitude control lets you adjust headroom and saturation independently of the dynamics settings, so adding character does not have to mean changing your compression approach.

A sample-aligned Dry-Mix control blends the processed signal with the original for parallel compression inside the plugin. Optional Auto-Gain helps match the output to the original audio level, making level comparisons more practical. You can also copy settings to the clipboard and paste them back for preset sharing.

For Windows setups, Disto-S is available as a 32-bit or 64-bit VST, making it an option for compatible versions of FL Studio and Ableton Live.
