Sknote Disto V2 Vst/Au/Aax Win/Mac

SKnote Disto V2 is a compression and saturation effect for producers who want to shape dynamics while adding hardware-inspired colour. Its processing combines ideas from Empirical Labs Distressor and FATSO Jr. units, bringing compression, distortion and tape-style warmth into one plugin.

Several compression and saturation modes let you move between subtle control and heavier treatment. The Warmth control uses dynamic filtering to soften brightness, while Hottitude adjusts headroom and saturation independently of the dynamics settings. An optional output-transformer stage adds saturation in the low-frequency range.

For stereo material, the built-in Mid/Side matrix provides separate controls for the centre and sides. Standard mode follows the character and headroom of the modelled hardware; Out of Order mode pushes the processing further for more pronounced effects.

Version 2 adds a Clean mode, a revised compression model, sample-aligned dry mixing and gain-reduction metering focused on the first 10 dB. Auto-Gain helps match the processed output to the original level. Disto suits hobby producers looking for flexible dynamics control and tonal shaping on individual tracks or stereo buses.
