Slate Digital Fresh Air is a dynamic high-frequency enhancement plugin for producers who want more presence and sparkle from vocals, drums, or a full mix. Its processing draws on vintage exciter designs, including modified Dolby-A noise-reduction techniques, and combines them with dynamics processing to bring out upper-frequency detail while keeping the result smooth.
The interface centers on two controls: Mid Air and High Air. These let you shape the amount of added brightness without navigating a complicated set of parameters. Apply it to an individual track that needs extra definition, or use it on the mix bus for a broader lift in clarity.
Fresh Air suits hobby producers working in FL Studio, Ableton Live, and other compatible Windows hosts who prefer a straightforward approach to high-end enhancement. The listed Windows requirements are Windows 8 or 10, an Intel or AMD processor, 4 GB RAM, and a 64-bit VST2, VST3, or AAX host. No physical iLok dongle is required, though iLok Cloud use needs an internet connection.
