Sonic Atlas: Tapes of India Bundle

Tapes of India brings the raw energy of South Indian folk percussion to your DAW as playable kits for the Sonic Atlas platform. Rather than static loops, these instruments combine one-shots, tempo-locked loops, velocity layers, round robins, and mic mix controls, so you can shape intensity and ensemble size in real time. Two kits are included: Parai captures the primal frame drum ensemble of Tamil Nadu with deep resonant strikes and aggressive stick work, while Cine Tapes delivers the warm goat-skin drum tones and rolling grooves heard in Kuthu film songs and dance sequences. Each instrument was recorded as solo, duo, and full ensemble performances, letting you build anything from intimate folk grooves to massive festival-scale arrangements. Ideal for cinematic scoring, electronic and hybrid productions, trailer music, and modern folk-inspired records, Tapes of India suits producers seeking authentic, expressive percussion that sits naturally in contemporary workflows.
