Distant Studio is a lightweight audio-over-IP tool that sends uncompressed 16-bit PCM audio between computers with low latency and encryption. It works as a standalone app or VST3 plugin on Windows and macOS, so you can link two DAWs on the same machine, connect computers in different rooms of a studio, or collaborate with someone in another country as if they were in the same room. There is no third-party server and no subscription: the connection is direct and encrypted. The low CPU and memory footprint means you can run several instances at once for multiple simultaneous connections.
