Orchestral Strings One is a virtual string ensemble instrument built on a hybrid modeling and sampling engine. It delivers a full section of 14 violins, 10 violas, 8 cellos, and 6 double basses, captured in a renowned concert hall. The NEO engine combines the realism of samples with the expressiveness of modeling, letting you shape every aspect of the performance. Nearly 20 parameters give you control over legato, velocity response, vibrato depth and speed, dynamics, and timbre. You can morph a sustained note from slow to fast vibrato while changing expression from crescendo to decrescendo—something difficult with static samples. The instrument is light on CPU and RAM, using under 200 MB of disk space. It includes key switches and MIDI controllers for real-time articulation changes (spiccato, staccato, pizzicato, legato, tremolo, trills, sordino, and more), a fully controllable legato system, an auto rhythm tool for repeated notes, multiple microphone positions, a built-in high-quality reverb, and a 64-step sequencer for string phrases. It suits hobby producers and keyboard players who want orchestral strings in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic, especially for live performance.
