Sound Normalizer 7.99.7 is a Windows audio utility for adjusting file volume, checking levels and converting between common audio formats. It is useful for hobby producers preparing exported tracks, organizing sample collections or bringing batches of recordings to more consistent levels. Rather than working as an in-DAW effect, it handles audio files outside your production session.
The software supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, Ogg and APE files, with batch processing for level analysis, normalization and conversion. WAV, Ogg, APE and FLAC files can be analyzed and normalized using peak or RMS levels, while MP3 processing uses RMS. Channels can be tested and normalized individually, and level readings appear graphically as percentages or decibels.
MP3 volume can be adjusted directly without re-encoding. Built-in encoders provide format conversion and file-size reduction options, while tag editing helps maintain track information. An integrated player lets you listen to MP3, FLAC, Ogg and WAV files. For FL Studio or Ableton users on Windows, it offers a separate file-preparation step before importing audio or sharing finished exports.
