Soundiron Tape

Soundiron Tape is a Kontakt instrument library built around the rough edges of damaged cassette and microcassette recordings. Hundreds of handcrafted percussion hits, stingers, multisamples and effects turn acoustic source material into dusty, unstable textures with mechanical character. It suits producers looking for gritty electronic rhythms, hybrid percussion, ambient layers or sci-fi interface sounds rather than clean, conventional drum kits. Shape each sound with envelope and resonant filter controls, then build movement using the adaptive arpeggiator and step-sequencing options. Built-in convolution reverb adds depth with 30 room, hall, space and special-effect impulses. Designed to work together, the sounds encourage quick experimentation across glitch, IDM, downtempo, EDM and soundtrack projects. Tape requires the full version of Kontakt 5.5 or later; categorized stereo WAV files are also included for use in compatible samplers, editors and DAWs.
