Spectrasonics Trilian is a bass virtual instrument for producers who want acoustic, electric and synth bass sounds in one place. It suits hobby musicians building anything from rock and funk arrangements to electronic tracks, with detailed sampled instruments alongside tools for shaping synthetic low end.

The library covers more than 60 electric basses, including fingered, picked, fretless, slap, tapped and muted playing styles. Automatic legato and release articulations, round-robin variations and sampled slides help programmed lines feel less repetitive. Acoustic and electric instruments also offer multi-channel mixing of microphone or amplifier signals with direct outputs, giving you control over the balance and character.

For electronic production, Trilian combines hardware-synth-based sound sources with dual filters, flexible modulation, six envelopes and six LFOs. Its effects include amp and speaker models, distortion, dynamics, EQ and spatial processing, so you can develop a bass tone within the instrument.

Enhanced Trilogy sounds and remastered Bass Legends samples expand the selection. Trilian’s library can also be used inside Omnisphere for further sound design and keyboard/bass splits.
