SR-88

AudioThing SR-88 brings the character of the rare Sound Master Memory Rhythm SR-88 drum machine into your DAW through a sample-based instrument. Its five sounds—kick, snare, two hi-hats and cymbal—deliver a compact palette of classic 80s analog percussion for retro pop, electronic grooves and stripped-back beats. Independent pitch, pan and level controls let you tune each drum to your track and arrange the kit across the stereo field. Shape the overall character with a zero-delay-feedback low-pass filter, overdrive, compression and reverb. The built-in sequencer makes it easy to create patterns, then drag MIDI into your host for further arrangement. With 15 factory presets, 15 factory patterns and a preset randomizer, SR-88 suits producers who want a focused vintage drum toolkit without navigating a huge sound library.
