SSA Plugins aXPlugins Suite is a collection of Ambisonic audio effects and utilities for producers, sound designers and engineers building spatial mixes. It covers the path from placing sound sources in a three-dimensional scene to processing the mix and preparing it for playback.
With aXPanner, mono or stereo material can be encoded into multichannel B-format, which stores directional information rather than a conventional left/right image. The suite also provides delay, EQ, compression, noise gating and de-essing designed for Ambisonic signals, allowing you to shape tone and dynamics while respecting the spatial relationships between channels.
For headphone monitoring, the aXMonitor series offers binaural decoding using head-related transfer functions. This translates the encoded scene into headphone playback intended to convey sound positions beyond the usual stereo presentation.
Available for Windows in VST3 and AAX formats, aXPlugins Suite suits anyone exploring immersive music production or spatial sound workflows. Before choosing a host, check its multichannel routing capabilities: Ambisonic processing requires more than a standard stereo signal path.
