SSL Sourcerer

SSL Sourcerer is a smart expander plugin that removes mic bleed from live and studio recordings without the abrupt artifacts of a gate. Built on SSL’s digital processing heritage, it delivers natural-sounding noise reduction by attenuating unwanted spill while preserving the character of the source. Use it to clean up live jam recordings, suppress cross-talk in podcasts and panel discussions, or tame crowd noise during performances. The intuitive controls include Threshold, Depth, and Time, plus high-pass and low-pass filters for quick tonal targeting. Three release settings (Slow, Medium, Fast) match the decay to the source, preventing unnatural cutoffs. Dual visual graphs show sidechain and filtered signals, threshold levels, and gain reduction for precise adjustments. Advanced ducking with adjustable delay syncs attenuation to the material, while internal and external sidechain options offer flexible triggering. Ideal for live and studio engineers, podcasters, and producers seeking pristine audio in any environment.
