Soundiron Steel Tones is a sampled steel tongue drum instrument for the full version of Kontakt 5.5 or later. Its Hapi Drum recordings deliver clear pitched strikes, intricate metallic harmonics and long, mellow decays—ideal for ambient tracks, cinematic cues and understated melodic percussion. Soft rubber and hard metal mallet articulations offer contrasting attacks, while close and distant hall microphone positions let you blend intimate detail with natural space. With seven round robins and up to nine velocity layers per note, performances retain plenty of variation. Layer sounds, adjust envelopes and pitch, or build rhythmic patterns with the onboard arpeggiator and step sequencer. A flexible effects rack and 50 designed ambiences, atmospheres and sustaining pads extend the palette beyond acoustic percussion.
