Steinway D Platinum

The Steinway D Platinum from EastWest Sounds delivers the sound of a world-famous concert grand directly to your DAW. Recorded in a proper piano environment with vintage Neumann microphones, Meitner AD converters, and a vintage Neve console, it captures a bright, regal, and elegant tone that excels in broad, virtuosic passages while still handling soft dynamics gracefully. With 10–18 velocities per note, true repetition samples taken from 180 BPM performances, pedal resonance, release trails, and multiple articulations including sustain, soft pedal, and staccato, it offers expressive depth for composers and skilled performers alike. Software features like mic position mixing, stereo swap, lid position simulation, and an articulation matrix make it flexible and easy to use. Whether you’re crafting cinematic scores or solo piano pieces, this instrument brings the concert hall into your studio.
