NUGEN Audio Stereoplacer lets you reposition selected frequencies across the stereo field rather than panning an entire track. Its EQ-style controls use up to 10 bands, with bell curves and high and low shelves, to move specific parts of a sound left or right while leaving the rest of the stereo image intact. Use it to give mono recordings a sense of width, place lower piano notes on one side and higher notes on the other, or bring awkwardly panned drum-loop elements closer to the centre. Switchable harmonic control includes related harmonics and overtones for more natural-sounding placement. Stereoplacer suits sample-based producers, musicians working with limited recording inputs, and anyone restoring archive audio or correcting stereo problems caused by microphone placement. It offers focused control when a conventional pan knob moves too much at once.
