iZotope Stutter Edit 2 is a rhythmic multi-effects plugin developed in collaboration with BT, built to turn samples, individual tracks, and full mixes into chopped, shifting textures. Use it to create skipping vocals, rapid hi-hat patterns, glitchy breakdowns, filter sweeps, and dramatic transitions. Stutter and Buffer controls push audio from tight rhythmic cuts into pitched, synth-like fragments, while an 11-effect suite adds distortion, chorus, comb filtering, reverb, and more. The Curve Editor lets you draw tempo-synced parameter movement inside the plugin rather than relying on DAW automation. For a quick starting point, AUTO mode triggers gestures without MIDI routing, and preset banks offer ready-made combinations to explore. MIDI controller support provides another way to play those gestures. It suits electronic producers, beatmakers, and sound designers who want immediate movement or deeper control over intricate edits.
