Synsonic Instruments BD-808-PRO v1.0 VST2 VST3 AU WiN MAC

BD-808-PRO is a free VST2, VST3 and AU plugin that recreates the classic analog 808 bass drum and doubles as a bass synthesizer. Instead of hunting through one-shot samples, you get a synthesized kick with controls for compression and overdrive, so you can dial in anything from a clean, round thump to a punchy, harmonically rich hit. A glide control lets you slide between notes for basslines, which makes the plugin useful beyond drum duties. Extended MIDI control is a highlight: MIDI velocity can shape accent, decay, compression, drive and tone, giving you more expressive, dynamic playing rather than flat, identical hits. It runs on Windows and macOS inside hosts like FL Studio, Ableton Live and Logic, and the 52.9 MB download is light on disk space. This suits hobby producers working in hip-hop, trap, house and other electronic styles who want an authentic 808 kick and a simple bass tone generator without spending money. It is straightforward to program and works well as a go-to kick source in a beginner or home studio setup.
