SYSTEM-100

The SYSTEM-100 software synthesizer recreates Roland’s 1975 semi-modular monosynth, combining the Model 101 Synthesizer and Model 102 Expander into one plugin. You get two VCOs, two LFOs, sample and hold, ring modulation, and a noise generator—all without patching between the original modules. A 14×15 routing matrix lets you patch signals visually, with cables shown on screen, and you can toggle connections or view the full signal flow. This makes it easy to dial in fat basses, sync leads, dense textures, and experimental soundscapes. Modern additions include a tempo-syncing arpeggiator, reverb, tempo-synced delay, and phaser. It runs in your DAW on Windows or Mac and supports Roland’s PLUG-OUT for hardware integration.
