TDR Kotelnikov GE

TDR Kotelnikov GE by Tokyo Dawn Labs is a wideband compressor built for precise dynamic control without masking the character of your mix. Its transparent sound keeps tone, detail and punch intact, making it a strong choice for stereo buses, mastering and other tasks where compression should be felt rather than heard. Separate release controls for peak and RMS content help shape fast transients and sustained energy independently. The Gentleman’s Edition adds frequency-dependent ratio control, a flexible sidechain high-pass filter and equal-loudness workflows for more informed adjustments. Delta monitoring lets you hear the difference between the original and compressed signals, while Yin/Yang modes adjust the compressor’s own harmonic behaviour. Designed as a digital processor rather than a hardware emulation, Kotelnikov GE suits home producers and experienced mixers who want clean compression with detailed control.
