Tenacity v1.3.5 Win macOS Linux ffmpeg [Free]

Tenacity is a free, standalone multitrack audio editor and recorder for working with recorded sound outside your DAW. It is an application rather than a VST plugin, making it a companion to a music-production setup rather than an effect you load on a mixer channel. The software is cross-platform, with this listing covering the Windows version.

For hobby producers, podcasters and anyone handling audio recordings, Tenacity brings recording, editing and effects processing into one workspace. Its uses range from recording material from an existing CD collection to preparing and mastering a podcast episode. It can also support more focused tasks, such as examining audio for research or creating specific sounds for analysis.

Tenacity is closely related to Audacity and can serve as an alternative for users who prefer that style of audio-editing workflow. The two applications are similar, but they are not identical, so existing Audacity users should allow for some differences. If you need a separate audio editor alongside FL Studio or Ableton Live on Windows, Tenacity is worth considering.
