Draw notes into the pitch lane, record them from a MIDI keyboard, or use randomisation and mutation to explore fresh ideas. Root-note and scale settings keep your sequences in key, while velocity and gate lanes shape their dynamics and note lengths. For more expressive movement, add per-step octave changes, pitch bends, chords and note rolls. Up to eight simultaneous MIDI CC sequences let you animate different controls, and independent lane lengths create shifting relationships between notes and modulation. An internal synthesiser makes it easy to audition ideas immediately. With up to 16 patterns and real-time actions including looping, half-time and retriggering, Thesys suits producers who want hands-on melodic experimentation, rhythmic variation and playable arrangements.
