Tone Empire Reelight Pro v2.0 is a tape saturation effect for producers who want analog-style coloration and gentle compression in their digital mixes. Available for Windows in VST3 and AAX formats, it suits hobby musicians working in compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
Choose from six modeled tape machines, each with slow and fast speed settings that change the tape character. Input gain determines how hard you drive the processing, while separate bias and compression controls let you shape the saturation and dynamic response. Adjustable crosstalk introduces the channel bleed associated with multitrack tape recording.
High-pass and low-pass filters operate before the tape stage, helping you control which frequencies reach the saturation algorithms. Input and output gain both offer a ±24 dB range, and the gain-lock function compensates output level as you increase the input.
Reelight Pro combines dynamic impulse responses with DSP modeling and hysteresis processing. Selectable 2x–8x oversampling provides additional processing options according to your CPU resources, while included presets offer starting points for exploring its tape tones.
