TONIC 2

TONIC 2 is a music theory analysis plugin that identifies the key and scale of any audio or MIDI source, either in real time as your track plays or offline via drag-and-drop. It presents up to three likely key and scale matches, each with a probability percentage, so you can quickly confirm your loops, remixes, and song ideas. The virtual keyboard updates to show compatible notes and chords, which you can audition on external instruments or drag into your DAW as MIDI clips. Fold Keys mode maps scale notes to white keys for easy melodic play, while Chord mode lets you perform and capture matching chords. It also displays tuning deviations from A=440Hz. Ideal for hobby producers who want to explore new harmonies, write melodies with confidence, or simply strengthen their theory skills, TONIC 2 works with Windows and Mac in AU, VST3, and AAX formats.
