Toontrack EZbass is a sampled bass instrument for producers who want to write and refine bass parts without recording a bass guitar. It includes two sampled instruments—one vintage and one modern—giving hobby musicians and songwriters a choice of bass sounds for their arrangements.

Beyond playing notes, EZbass provides tools for building a performance around your song. Start with included bass MIDI covering a range of styles, or feed it drum or keyboard MIDI to generate a matching bassline. You can compose, arrange and revise parts inside the software, then use the built-in Grid Editor to adjust notes and finer performance details.

The Audio Tracker adds audio-to-MIDI conversion using technology also found in Superior Drummer 3. This offers another starting point for developing bass parts from audio rather than drawing every note manually.

For Windows-based producers, EZbass combines sampled bass sounds with songwriting and MIDI editing tools, making it useful for sketching ideas and shaping more detailed arrangements.
