Trilobite

Trilobite by Darwin Arts is a modular synthesizer plugin built around evolutionary sound design. Its Interactive Patch Evolver and Visual Patch Editor offer two ways to explore synthesis: develop patches through an evolutionary workflow or work with their structure visually. It suits producers who enjoy experimenting with electronic sounds and want a hands-on alternative to simply browsing presets. An integrated patch bank librarian, drag-and-drop loading, and metadata editors for text and images help keep your creations organized. Demonstration patches provide starting points for exploration, while web publishing features support sharing your work. Customizable colour schemes let you adjust the interface to your preference. Described as the final beta release, version 0.9.3 brings Darwin Arts’ earlier evolutionary audio tools together around an overhauled modular synthesis engine. Trilobite is available for Windows and Mac, with VST and Audio Units formats provided for their respective platforms.
