Triton Audio D2O is a preamp saturation plugin for producers who want to add subtle warmth or heavier drive to recorded tracks. Based on the D2O hardware microphone preamp, which combined solid-state electronics with subminiature tubes, it uses AI-trained neural networks to recreate the original unit’s tonal character rather than traditional circuit modelling.

Use it on vocals, guitars, drums, or a mix bus when clean audio needs extra colour. Lower gain settings keep the effect restrained, while increasing gain brings out stronger saturation. For a more driven sound, raise the input and reduce the output to compensate for the level increase. The mix control lets you blend the processed signal with the dry audio, making heavier settings easier to fit into a track.

A high-pass filter and tilt EQ provide additional tone shaping, including trimming unwanted low frequencies from guitars. D2O runs in real time on your computer’s CPU.
