Eventide Tverb is a reverb plugin that turns room ambience into a dynamic part of your mix. Developed with Tony Visconti, it draws on the three-microphone vocal technique behind David Bowie’s “Heroes” and the spacious character of Berlin’s Hansa Meistersaal. Three independent reverbs let you blend a close microphone with two movable distant microphones, shaping everything from subtle room depth to expansive, gated washes. The close mic includes compression and selectable polar patterns, while linkable gates on the distant channels let the ambience bloom as the performance gets louder. Decay, diffusion and frequency controls help tailor the hall to your track, and DAW automation can move the distant microphones during playback. Tverb suits producers who want expressive vocal space, dramatic room effects or evolving ambience rather than a static reverb backdrop.
