UAD Enigmatic ’82 Overdrive Special Amp

The UAD Enigmatic ’82 Overdrive Special Amp brings the rare D-style boutique amp tone into your DAW, modeled from early Santa Cruz models through later LA session favorites. It delivers the expressive, touch-sensitive overdrive and singing sustain heard on countless blues, rock, and fusion records. Use it for intricate chord work or lead playing that cuts through a mix. Custom Mode lets you build your own ODS circuit by mixing four output tube and power supply setups, choosing a tone stack era, and adding the Hot Rubber Monkey mod for extra overdrive and compression. Nine curated cabinet and mic pairings—1×12″ and 4×12″ cabs with vintage ribbon, condenser, and dynamic mics—give you mix-ready tones instantly. Over 40 artist presets from players like Joey Landreth and Megan Lovell cover blues, country, and beyond. Ideal for guitarists and producers seeking authentic boutique amp character without the six-figure price tag.
