UB DSP Vowel Blender is a formant filter effect that adds vowel-like articulation to basses, synth pads, drums, and other audio. It suits producers who want talking bass lines, shifting vocal textures, or rhythmic filter movement without relying on fixed vowel presets.
Its two-dimensional phonetic pad places 10 vowels within reach of a cursor, with smooth transitions as you move between them. Seven voice models provide different timbral starting points. You can control the pad using the mouse, MIDI, or internal modulation, then capture your movements as editable, repeating paths.
The motion recorder supports host-tempo sync, free-running rates, and forward, reverse, or ping-pong playback. For a quicker start, 13 included shapes offer curved, geometric, and vowel-oriented trajectories.
A flexible modulation system includes nine source types, covering LFOs, step sequencing, envelopes, audio-following control, and more. Modulators can also control one another, while the MSEG editor provides drawable envelopes with loop markers and tempo sync.
Available for Windows in VST3, AAX, and CLAP formats, Vowel Blender fits compatible production setups including FL Studio and Ableton Live.
