The Ultramaster KR-106 is a free synthesizer plugin that recreates the classic Roland Juno-6, Juno-60, and Juno-106. Built with JUCE, it offers 6-voice polyphony and two DSP modes: one modeled after the Juno-60’s analog circuitry and another based on Juno-106 firmware. Per-voice analog variance adds subtle differences between voices, while the TPT ladder filter with OTA saturation delivers authentic tone. The BBD chorus is ngspice-verified for accuracy, and the arpeggiator syncs to your DAW. Portamento and 240 factory presets (112 Juno-60, 128 Juno-106) are included. Parameter curves were calibrated from hardware measurements, circuit simulation, and firmware analysis. Full Juno-106 SysEx support (IPR/APR send and receive) is available, with a separate AU variant (aumf) for Logic Pro. It runs as VST3, CLAP, LV2, AU, or standalone on Windows, macOS (10.15+), and Linux. This plugin is ideal for hobby producers and anyone seeking the iconic Juno sound in a modern, open-source package. Whether you use FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic, the KR-106 brings vintage character to your tracks.
