Vari-Amp

Vari-Amp is a character plugin from Rhodes that brings authentic analogue warmth and soul to any sound source. Its dual-module architecture pairs six iconic Rhodes preamps—modelled from classic pianos like the MK1 ’79 Suitcase through to the MK8—with eight classic and modern amplifiers and eight microphones. Each module has its own dry/wet blend, letting you dial in anything from subtle saturation to expressive overdrive while preserving clarity. The three-mode Drive circuit, based on the MK8 preamp, offers warmth, overdrive, and saturation options. Use it to add depth and dynamic movement to a single track or cohesion to an entire mix. It suits keyboardists, guitarists, producers, and instrumentalists craving vintage colour and modern edge. Whether you want smooth vintage saturation or crisp modern bite, Vari-Amp delivers musical character that enhances without overwhelming.
