Viator DSP Pastel Verb is a free reverb plugin for producers who want adjustable space with control over the tone feeding the effect. It suits hobby music makers looking for a straightforward way to shape ambience without a complicated interface.
Room size, damping, and stereo width controls define the reverb character. An input ladder low-pass filter reduces high frequencies before they reach the reverb, helping create a darker, smoother tail. Adjust cutoff and resonance to shape that filtering, or add drive for soft-clipping distortion. Two filter slopes offer a choice between gentler 12 dB-per-octave filtering and a steeper 24 dB-per-octave response. Bypassing the filter also disables its resonance and drive processing to reduce CPU use.
Independent dry and wet levels support both insert processing and parallel routing, with an aux send recommended for the latter. Version 2.1.1 brings refreshed visuals, interface optimizations, improved parameter recall, and a window that remembers its size. Pastel Verb is available as VST3 for Windows and as AU and VST3 for macOS, covering compatible setups in FL Studio, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro.
