Viator DSP Stimulate v1.4 is a free harmonic exciter for producers who want to brighten audio with added harmonics rather than simple level boosts. It suits home-studio musicians working on individual tracks or mixes that need more upper-frequency presence.
Separate Odd and Even controls let you choose either harmonic character or blend the two. Amount sets how hard the harmonic distortion is driven, while Range defines the frequency above which processing takes place. This helps you focus the effect on higher frequencies instead of applying distortion across the whole spectrum.
Use Mix to blend the processed signal with the original, then reduce the output level with Trim. A Phase switch flips the signal’s phase. The central display represents the processing with a sine-wave visualization, making the difference between odd and even harmonics easier to understand.
Stimulate supports 64-bit VST3 on Windows and VST3/AU on macOS, fitting setups built around FL Studio, Ableton Live, or Logic Pro on Mac. Version 1.4 includes fixes for display glitches during startup, silence, and different buffer sizes.
