Vintage Horns 3

Vintage Horns 3 is a Kontakt 7 instrument library that captures the raw, organic character of horn soloists and sections from the 1930s to the 1970s. It includes iconic styles like Detroit soul baritone sax, 1970s R&B alto sax, grungy rock ‘n’ roll tenor sax, and jazz-fusion flute with flutter-tongue articulations. Rather than aiming for flawless, ultra-clean samples, this collection embraces the quirks and imperfections that made vintage horn performances memorable—honking, squawking, warbling, cracked and slurred notes included. Inspired by legends such as Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Fred Wesley, and the horn sections of Motown and Tower of Power, it delivers expressive, character-rich brass and woodwind sounds. The simple interface offers reverb with 15 convolution spaces, tape saturation, bass and treble controls, and ADSR shaping. Ideal for producers of soul, funk, jazz, R&B, and rock who want authentic vintage horn textures in their tracks.
