Vintage Horns

Vintage Horns by Big Fish Audio brings the warmth and grit of 1960s and 1970s horn sections to your productions. Built for R&B, soul and funk, this virtual instrument favors expressive, slightly imperfect performances over a polished modern brass sound. Its sampled brass and woodwinds cover trumpets, trombone, saxophones, flutes and flugelhorn, giving you the building blocks for punchy riffs, mellow ballad arrangements and full ensemble passages. The Kontakt Player 5 edition includes keyswitch-controlled long notes, short notes, stabs, falls and swells, plus sforzando samples for brass and reeds. Sixteen ready-made multis offer section combinations inspired by Memphis, Detroit, Philly, Oakland and the JBs, alongside jazz and Latin arrangements. A separate Reason 6 ReFill edition provides 53 NN-XT patches. It suits producers and arrangers looking for characterful retro horns without assembling a live section.
