Virtual Tape Machines

Virtual Tape Machines by Slate Digital brings the warm, musical character of analog tape to your DAW. It models two classic machines: a 16-track 2-inch multitrack and a 1/2-inch stereo mastering deck, each with authentic tape saturation, punch, and depth. Choose between two popular tape formulations for different tonal flavors, and switch between 15 ips and 30 ips speeds to shape bass response. Additional controls for bias, tape type, and bass alignment let you fine-tune the amount of warmth and color. Use it on individual tracks to tame harsh digital edges, or across your mix bus for cohesive, analog-style glue. Ideal for hobby producers in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want richer, smoother mixes without leaving the box. Whether you’re after subtle enhancement or pronounced tape vibe, VTM delivers the sound of real analog tape.
