Vital is a wavetable synthesizer for hobby producers and sound designers who want to build patches with clear visual feedback. Its spectral warping tools reshape a waveform’s harmonics, letting you explore different tones without changing the original wavetable.

For custom sound sources, you can convert samples into wavetables using pitch-splice or vocode processing, draw your own in the built-in editor, or generate wavetables from text. Animated waveforms, filter displays, oscilloscopes and spectrograms help you follow how a patch changes as you adjust it.

Modulation uses a drag-and-drop workflow with previews, making it easier to test a connection before applying it. Custom LFO shapes, envelopes and random sources such as Perlin noise provide movement, while velocity, aftertouch and MPE modulation add performance control. Stereo modulation can create different movement on the left and right channels, and curve remapping lets you refine each modulation connection.

This Windows release of Vital 1.5.5 is marked as early access. It requires Windows 10 or later, a 64-bit system and OpenGL 3 or higher.
