VP Gate Keeper II

VP Gate Keeper II is a VCA-based gate and expander plugin from Antelope Audio, modeled after the classic Keepex II hardware used on countless ’70s and ’80s records. Unlike basic on/off noise gates, it covers the grey area in between, with a Logarithmic Release mode that preserves the natural tails of gated material. Use it to tighten drum buses, remove bleed and ambient noise, or increase the dynamic range of transient-heavy sources without dulling the musicality. Controls are simple—Threshold, Release, Range and Output—but the VCA circuitry delivers clean, fast gain reduction even at extreme settings. It suits hobby producers working in FL Studio, Ableton or Logic who want polished, artifact-free recordings, and it runs natively on Windows or Mac, with a low-latency Synergy Core version for compatible Antelope hardware.
