VSL Studio German Upright 1904 Stereo for Synchron Pianos

This virtual instrument recreates a C. Bechstein upright piano built in 1904, captured at Synchron Stage Vienna’s Stage B. The piano’s vintage character comes from its generous resonating wood, producing a mellow yet clear tone with a warm, rich bass and singing midrange. Eight microphone positions offer timbral variations, from close condensers and ribbons to a Decca Tree room setup. Advanced release sample technology ensures natural decay, while pre-configured presets cover main, signature, and FX sounds. The smooth action allows fine dynamic gradations from pianissimo to fortissimo, and in the main playing range it resembles a small concert grand. Suitable for hobby producers in any genre seeking a nostalgic, characterful piano sound. Requires the Vienna Synchron Piano Player (included). Runs on Windows, 18.8 GB.
