VSM IV by GForce Software is a virtual string machine instrument built from 46 classic and rare string synthesizers, from early ensembles like the Eminent 310 and Freeman String Symphonizer to the Solina, Elka Rhapsody, Logan String Melody, and Korg PE2000. It excels at warm, organic string beds for pop, ambient, electronic, and film music. Two layers let you fuse instruments into hybrid patches, while over 1900 presets and 11.5 GB of samples provide a deep starting point for your own synthetic strings. Version IV adds a scalable interface, patch and instrument browsers, undo/redo/copy/paste, wow and flutter, an alternative state-variable filter, ensemble, chorus, matrix reverb, new LFO shaping, and expanded poly aftertouch and velocity control. It suits hobby producers and composers who want vintage string textures with modern editing flexibility in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic.
