X-Click

X-Click is a restoration utility designed to remove short, sharp clicks and pops from audio recordings. It handles both analog sources, such as switching noise and vinyl surface clicks, and digital artifacts caused by clocking errors or sample rate mismatches. The plugin isolates and displays detected clicks, letting you monitor only the clicks while adjusting parameters for precise results. You can choose a click shape ranging from sharp digital transients to wider analog pops, and the display shows the last ten seconds of processing with clicks highlighted in red. Use it for automatic click removal or to process individual clicks manually. For extra reduction, record a parallel track of only the clicks and flip the phase. An attenuation meter shows how much click reduction is applied. Once set up correctly, X-Click leaves virtually no audible artifacts, making it suitable for hobby producers restoring vinyl, cleaning up noisy recordings, or fixing digital glitches.
