Yamaha ZOLA PROJECT is a Japanese-language vocal instrument collection for VOCALOID3, built around three male singers: YUU, KYO, and WIL. It gives producers a choice of contrasting vocal tones for synthetic lead lines, layered parts, and three-voice arrangements. YUU has a sweet tone, KYO offers a clear, strong delivery, and WIL brings a huskier, more distinctive character.

Conceived as a three-member singing group, ZOLA PROJECT suits hobby producers and songwriters who want to create Japanese vocal parts without recording a live vocalist. You can choose a voice to match a song’s mood or combine the singers for contrasting sections and group vocals. The included Zola Unison Job Plugin and WAV breath recordings provide additional resources for vocal arrangement work.

This Windows package is intended for the VOCALOID3 environment; it should not be treated as a confirmed standalone VST for your DAW. Released in 2013 to mark VOCALOID’s tenth anniversary, the project also features conceptual image illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano.
