Bombo Leguero

Bombo Leguero brings the deep, resonant voice of an Andean drum to your DAW. This Kontakt instrument captures a cylindrical membranophone traditionally played with mallets, delivering a distinct low-end thump that anchors folkloric rhythms and modern productions alike. Crafted by Wense Rodriguez from recycled materials, the drum features two stretched canvas heads tightened with cords around unusually thin hoops, giving it a character all its own. With 78 audio files, 1230 Kontakt samples, and 9 mic options, you can shape everything from tight, dry hits to roomy, ambient tones. It suits producers exploring world percussion, film and game scoring, or anyone needing organic low percussion for electronic, acoustic, or hybrid tracks. Whether you’re building a cinematic pulse or adding earthy texture to a beat, this instrument delivers an authentic, tactile sound with plenty of depth.
